Second Edition of Cameroon Leadership Academy Opens September 17

The second edition of the Cameroon leadership academy is set to begin on the 17th of September 2013.This academy is a platform for the capacity building of young Cameroonian leaders from where they will be empowered to play a significant role in the progress and emergence of the country.

After a successful attempt in 2012, the CLA is now an annual programme, focused on the training and exchange of experiences for 100 Young Active Citizens from the ten regions of Cameroon aged between 18 to 35 years on the basis of civic engagement, professional accomplishment and their patriotic spirit.

Explaining the motif of the CLA, the Go Ahead Africa Chair said; “Our aim is to create a world-class of young Cameroonian leaders who are masters of their own destiny and committed to serving the emergence of our country and our continent, Africa! This is the opportunity to focus on strengthening the capacity of young Cameroonian leaders who will serve as ambassadors of Vision 2035.”

This academy provides participants with skills in leadership and management, entrepreneurship, the spirit of individual social responsibility and active citizenship and the essence to know and appreciate the distinguished historic figures of Cameroon. The Academy’s content includes ; opening and leveling of expectations, discovering the vision of your life (leadership), team building (management), our commitment(individual social responsibility) and closing (get involved/active citizenship).

This academy maintains a post academy follow up to ensure the coaching of participants after the Academy through the creation of a virtual forum to continue the exchange of ideas and projects.

The Cameroon Leadership Academy is an idea of GO AHEAD AFRICA Ltd. This is a group of young Africans eager to contribute to the capacity building, valorisation of stakeholders and decision makers in the African continent. “We are a credible platform for all professional and potential investors in Africa,” Kwemain, JCI 2010 World President added.
